World Famous Athlete Opens Meatless Restaurant

WORLD FAMOUS ATHLETE OPENS MEATLESS RESTAURANT

Written by Dalton Sweet

Five years ago, Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic cut meat out of his diet in order to improve his overall health and athletic performance. By focusing on a plant-based diet, he now has more energy and a healthier body. Excited to share his successes with the world, he recently opened Eqvita, an organic, vegan restaurant in Monte Carlo. The restaurant’s menu features everything from simple salads and fine wines, to veggie burgers and zucchini lasagna.

It’s never too late to start reducing your meat consumption. Djokovic grew up into a culture that absolutely revered red meat. “It’s amazing how much your background and nationality play into eating habits,” he said. It would have been easy to continue this diet, but he instead made a change to better his health, protect the environment, and save the lives of innocent animals.

Thankfully, you don’t have to travel to Monte Carlo to satisfy your reducetarian cravings. Meatless options are available everywhere. See what plant-based foods your favorite restaurant or local grocery store offers; you’ll be surprised at what you find!
