Vegetarian Restaurant Nix Opens in Manhattan
A new vegetarian restaurant has hit the New York City scene: Nix has officially opened its doors to the public.
The restaurant, which is the result of a cooperation among Chipotle founder Steve Ells, former editorial director of Condé Nast James Truman, and Upper West Side restaurant Dovetail’s chef John Fraser, will not serve any type of meat. John Fraser, who introduced Meatless Mondays at his restaurant Dovetail in 2010, is now bringing his vegetarian-inspired dishes to Nix at 72 University Place.
Menu item include baked naan and a variety of dips, harissa-spiced carrots (reminiscent of cashew chicken), and a roasted broccoli rabe, cottage cheese, and chili pepper plate. There's plenty to delight the senses!
With even more reducetarian-friendly restaurants cropping up around the country, reducing your meat consumption is easier than ever.
