General Mills, owner of the Progresso brand, has recently unveiled a new line of reducetarian-friendly, "Good Natured Soups". Delicious bean bases and vegetable purees are used to create a creamy soup texture without the use of any dairy products. Additionally, each hearty serving is filled with fresh ingredients that are rich in nutrients such as fiber and protein.
Progresso currently offers three flavors of Good Natured Soups.
Hearty Tomato with Spinach and Roasted Garlic combines navy beans, tomatoes, celery, red bell peppers, and several other vegetables.
Hearty Corn and Chipotle Chowder contains cooked pinto bean powder, corn, and red bell peppers, along with a variety of chipotle spices.
Hearty Lentil with Garden Vegetables packs a protein punch with green lentils, black beans, and various vegetables.
“With Good Natured Soups, we’re celebrating vegetables," says Roger Galloway, Progresso's marketing manager. “We know that consumers are more interested in plant-based diets... [so] whether you start your Mondays going meatless or recently started pinning vegetarian inspiration, our unique flavors will satisfy your hearty appetite.”
