Healthy Diets Are the Key to These World Leaders' Success

It's always a little fun to get the latest dish on popular figures in society. Check out what these world leaders are eating, and get inspired by their meatless diets!

Barack Obama

Barack Obama claimed that broccoli is his favorite food. First lady Michelle Obama is running a Let's Move campaign that focuses on introducing diets containing more fruits and vegetables, and less sugar and fat.

Queen Elizabeth II

How does Queen Elizabeth stay so slim and elegant? “When she dines on her own,” says Darren McGrady, once the personal chef to the Queen and then to Diana, “she’s very disciplined. No starch is the rule. No potatoes, rice or pasta for dinner. Just usually something like grilled sole with vegetables and salad.”

Jinping Xi

As the leader of the People's Republic of China, President Xi's daily diet is very simple, according to his nutritionists. "Eat little, but have more than three meals per day. Eat less meat and more vegetables. Eat more roughage."

Mugabe

Zimbabwe's president Robert Mugabe has turned 92 this year, making him the oldest head of state on the planet. "I do certain things that I believe sustain life," he said. "I eat well, not filling my stomach, eating foodstuffs that I believe sustain one most... When you get old, you resort to vegetables, that will be your diet."

Thanks to their healthy, reducetarian diets, these world leaders are able to hit the ground running day after day, making great contributions to our world.
